Amaze Associates is a highly regarded provider of outplacement and training services

Established in 2003, our Outplacement programmes are delivered on a confidential basis and at no cost to employees. We and our Associates have worked with thousands of people who have changed jobs successfully and are recognised for high levels of expertise and professionalism.

We support clients across the spectrum of public and private sectors using our collective expertise to help meet organisational objectives and achieve individual goals.

Every one of our projects is managed by a Director who would be involved in tailoring the design and delivery of each programme.

We build positive relationships, provide pragmatic solutions and explore options; which is why all of our programmes have the essential component of face to face support.

Outplacement is the process of engaging with specialists who can assist affected employees in their search for new employment opportunities. Outplacement services are typically only provided for a certain period of time and are not legally required to be offered by the company. They are, however, considered to be part of the social responsibility of an employer by actively extending it's support to employees by helping them to find new job opportunities.

Outplacement services are paid for by the downsizing or restructuring company. A well-designed redundancy programme should enable employees to refresh their interview skills, redraft CVs, identify and reply effectively to advertised and unadvertised opportunities. Some employees can be badly affected by redundancy and need support to accept the situation and mount an effective job search campaign.

The CIPD recommends that “Where possible, outplacement advice should be offered to leaving employees to maintain their morale and help them find alternative employment"

Group outplacement

We have an excellent track record in the design and delivery of group programmes where, even in the largest groups, individuals are made to feel supported and valued. A typical programme will include initial Awareness Briefings (to help employees understand the help available), Job Search workshops and individual meetings.

Executive/Individual Outplacement

Redundancy can be a traumatic event for all concerned. Even the most senior managers can benefit from our confidence boosting, pragmatic and practical support. Our individual programmes offer a combination of meetings and remote support delivered over an agreed timescale. We believe in building dynamic relationships, providing pragmatic solutions and exploring options; which is why all of our programmes have a substantial element of face to face support.

Self-funded Outplacement

Most people will find themselves at a ‘career review’ point at some time in their career. This may be by choice or created through a redundancy situation.

You might have been given money by your employer as part of a compromise agreement for outplacement services or maybe you feel it’s time to invest in yourself by planning and securing a better career for the future.

Amaze Associates can help by boosting your confidence, showing you how to promote your skills, tackling specific issues e.g. interview nerves or helping with career change.

Initially we would meet with you to fully understand your requirements, explain options and to ensure you are comfortable working with your consultant. That consultant would remain dedicated to you throughout your programme.

Interpersonal-skills training

We provide an extensive range of interpersonal skills training at all levels spanning graduate intake to senior management teams. Our courses range from core needs such as Presentation skills and Appraisal training to bespoke interventions such as Leadership Development. Many are available “off the shelf” and for others we will work closely with you tailoring the content to specific organisational objectives. Lorna Mullins
Lorna Mullins
Lorna’s background is in HR, Technical Recruitment (for a leading agency) and Training. Subsequently she has worked for a number of well-known management consultancies, designing and delivering training and outplacement programmes across most sectors. Of particular note, is her time spent working with the Armed Forces helping service personnel make the challenging transition from military to civilian life. Lorna has recently learned British Sign Language.
George Harvey
George Harvey
George Harvey has a background in R & D, Chemistry, Marketing and Management and has set up several businesses in very different markets. He has up to date knowledge of recruitment and job searching in the digital age. An experienced Careers Coach, George excels in providing clients with innovative solutions to career challenges often identifying new ways to help clients achieve their goals. George is passionate about music – writing, recording and performing, enjoys tennis and squash and co-owns a brewery.
